I was using the app but it says I have to take a selfie again. Why is this?

We may ask you to take a selfie when an extra layer of security is needed to help keep your account safe while you use the app.

Some features involve accessing personal or account related information, so we’ll ask you to take a selfie to confirm it’s really you before continuing. This helps make sure your details stay protected and secure.

Here’s what you need to know to take your selfie:

  •  Your device’s camera must be working
  •  Camera permissions must be enabled for the Vanquis app

We’ll prompt you to turn on camera permissions during registration, but you can also do it manually:

For iOS users:
Settings > Apps > Vanquis > Toggle Camera on

For Android users:
Settings > Apps > Vanquis > Permissions > Allow Camera access
