Why has my credit limit increase request not taken place?

When you gave details of your income and expenditure, we then carried out a soft credit check with the credit reference agencies. We do this to check your eligibility for a credit limit increase without affecting your credit score. 

We can’t give you an increase if the soft credit check shows you’re not eligible for one. Or if you’ve missed a payment since you made the request or if your account is over its credit limit.
