A credit limit decrease is when the maximum amount of credit available to you on your credit card is reduced. This means you’ll have less available balance to spend before you reach your credit limit.
Your credit limit can be decreased by us if the account terms and conditions have not been met.
We know personal circumstances can change. If your income changes or your expenses increase, you may want to lower your credit limit. You can request a credit limit reduction in the app at any time. You’ll need to make sure that:
- Your account is up to date and not over its limit
- There are no pending transactions
- Your requested limit is above your current balance and any upcoming interest
- You don’t want to set the limit less than the minimum of £100
From the home screen of the app:
- Tap the ‘Person’ icon top right
- Tap ‘Account preferences’
- Tap ‘Manage credit limit’
- Tap ‘Credit limit decrease’ and follow the on screen instructions
Jump to the Profile and settings screen.
Alternatively, you can text LOWERLIMIT to 0786 009 4990 from your registered mobile or contact us.
