Vanquis Credit Card August Foreign Purchase and Cash Transaction Fee Waiver & Cashback Offer Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions cover the Vanquis Credit Card August Foreign Purchase and Cash Transaction Fee Waiver (the “Transaction Fee Waiver”) and Cashback Offer. Your Vanquis Credit Card Agreement still applies, and these Terms and Conditions are additional to the Credit Card Agreement. By taking part in this Transaction Fee Waiver and Cashback Offer, you agree to be bound by and are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

In these Terms and Conditions “we”, “us” and “our” means Vanquis Bank Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 02558509 whose registered office is at Fairburn House, 5 Godwin Street, Bradford, BD1 2AH.

The Transaction Fee Waiver

We are waiving foreign purchase and cash transaction fees for the duration of the Waiver Period on card transactions made outside the United Kingdom during the Waiver Period using your Vanquis Credit Card (your “Card”).

Foreign cash transactions including cash withdrawals and foreign currency purchases will still be charged a cash transaction fee of £3 or 3% of the transaction/withdrawal (whichever is higher). Interest on this fee is charged at the cash rate applicable to your Card from when you make the foreign cash withdrawal or foreign currency purchase.

Cashback Offer

You will receive a 1% cashback when you make foreign purchases during the Waiver Period using your Vanquis Credit Card (your “Card”). This will be capped at a maximum total credit to your Card of £50. Even if you make additional purchases, you will not receive more than £50.

Certain types of spending will not qualify as eligible purchases for the Cashback Offer. These include:

  • Balance transfers, ATM transactions and cash withdrawals
  • Financial service transactions (including but not limited to money transmission orders, purchases of foreign currency or travel cheques, purchases of financial services such as insurance)
  • Transactions that are voided, reversed or cancelled

You will receive your cashback as a credit amount on your Card account by the end of September 2026. The cashback will appear on your statement as “Vanquis Cashback”. The cashback credit does not count towards your minimum repayment amount. If your account is not maintained in good standing (for example, if it is overlimit or a payment has been missed), or if your account is closed during the promotional period, the cashback will not be applied to your account.

The Waiver Period

The Waiver Period is from 1 August to 31 August 2026 (inclusive) measured using UK British Summer Time. Any card transactions from using the Card outside these dates will not qualify for the Transaction Fee Waiver or Cashback Offer.

Cancellation of the Transaction Fee Waiver

We reserve the right to cancel, suspend or terminate the Transaction Fee Waiver and/or the Cashback Offer at any time without giving reasons. If we need to do this, we will put a notice on this web page www.vanquis.com/legal/credit-card-summary/august-foreign-transcation-fee-waiver-terms-conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

You must be a resident in either England, Wales or Scotland during the whole Waiver Period.  If a new customer, you must have opened your Card account by midnight on 30th June 2026.
