Vanquis has won two major awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, being named Europe’s Best Bank Transformation and UK’s Best Consumer Lender.

The awards recognise the progress Vanquis has made in strengthening the business, improving the way it serves customers and building a more digital, responsible and sustainable specialist bank.

The Europe’s Best Bank Transformation award reflects the significant change delivered across Vanquis as the Group has simplified its business, modernised its technology, improved operational efficiency and rebuilt momentum.

The UK’s Best Consumer Lender award recognises the role Vanquis plays in helping customers who are often underserved by mainstream banks access regulated credit. It also reflects Vanquis’ focus on responsible lending, strong affordability checks and supporting good customer outcomes.

Vanquis’ strategy is built around three clear priorities: Serve More, Serve Responsibly and Scale Profitably. Together, these priorities are helping the Group widen access to credit, lend responsibly and build a simpler, more efficient bank for the future.

Ian McLaughlin, Chief Executive Officer of Vanquis Banking Group, said: “Being recognised by Euromoney with both Europe’s Best Bank Transformation and UK’s Best Consumer Lender is a proud moment for everyone at Vanquis.

“These awards recognise the progress we have made in strengthening the business, improving how we serve customers and building a more digital and sustainable specialist bank.

“They are also a tribute to colleagues across Vanquis, whose hard work and commitment have made this progress possible. We remain focused on serving customers responsibly and continuing to support people who are often underserved by mainstream banks.”
