Am I eligible for a Vanquis Credit Card?
You can apply if you’re 18 years old or over, have a regular income and are a permanent UK resident.
You’re not eligible if you are currently bankrupt, have an active Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), have a card or open application with us or we’ve declined you in the last 6 months.
To check your eligibility, you’ll need your address details for the last 3 years, your bank details, your annual income and your monthly outgoings.
How does a Purchase Credit Card work?
Our Purchase Credit Card lets you buy now and pay later with no interest for a set time. It’s a smart way to spread the cost, especially for those big purchases.
This card can help you manage your payments at a pace that suits your budget and financial goals. They’re also a good option if you’re looking to get familiar with your credit card without the risk of mounting interest, thanks to our interest-free period.
Don’t forget, you’ll still need to make your minimum repayments during the promotional offer window. So, keep an eye out for your monthly statements to see how much you need to pay.
What happens at the end of my offer period?
When your offer period ends, any outstanding balance will be charged at your standard variable interest rate.
The more of your balance you repay before the end of your offer period, the less interest you’ll need to pay at the end.
Who is the Vanquis Purchase Credit Card for?
Our Purchase Credit Card gives you more flexibility with your finances during your 0% interest period.
This feature is useful if you’re looking to make a big purchase and want to split payments over a longer period.
The purchase offer is time-limited, so it’s a good idea to check you can manage your finances effectively.
If you’re looking to build your credit score, you may want to look at our Credit Builder Credit Card instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Purchase offer improve my credit score?
Using our cards with this feature can improve your credit score – the same as with any other credit card. If you repay your debts on time and keep to your credit limit, you can build up a positive credit history.
What’s the difference between a regular credit card and one with a Purchase offer?
Our Vanquis Purchase Credit Card works like a regular credit card but with extra features. With the Purchase offer, you can make interest-free payments for a limited period (as long as you make the minimum monthly payments and stick to the other conditions).
What’s a credit purchase?
A credit purchase is when you pay with a credit card and not through a different method – like cash, cheque or debit card. Don’t confuse this with the ‘Purchase offer’, which is a time-limited 0% interest period for this card specifically.
Can I ask my credit card provider for 0% interest?
Terms and conditions can often vary between providers and products. Generally, it’s up to a credit card provider to approve special requests, and it’s unlikely they’d have to agree to them. But at Vanquis, we offer 0% interest on Purchase cards from day one.
