Spot the Vanquis Bus - Terms & Conditions

1. The Promoter

This Prize Draw is operated by VANQUIS BANK LIMITED (“VBL”), incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 02558509 whose registered office is at Fairburn House, 5 Godwin Street, Bradford, BD1 2AH. 

2. The prize draw

“Spot the Vanquis Bus” Campaign. 

VBL is promoting its business on buses within the North-West of England and is asking the general public to try and spot VBL-branded buses in the North-West area. 

3. Start date

The Prize Draw will run from 09:00 1st September 2025.

4. Closing date

The Prize Draw will run until 23:59 on 14th September 2025.

5. How to enter

The participant must: 

  • take a photo or video of a ‘Vanquis’ branded bus; 
  • post the photo or video on social media with the hashtag #BankThatsGotYourBack; and 
  • tag VBL on the respective platform (@vanquis). 

Only one (1) submission per social media platform (limited to TikTok, Facebook & Instagram only) up to a maximum of three (3) submissions in total per participant. 

Entries that do not comply with these Prize Draw terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this Prize Draw. 

Entries into this Prize Draw are free of charge (no purchase required). 

6. Promotion prize

The prize is: 

  • 2x VIP tickets to the Grand Slam of Darts session of your choice; and  
  • £500 worth of Amazon Gift Cards. 

There is no alternative prize (cash or otherwise). 

Should the winner be unable to attend their chosen session, they may exchange the tickets for another available session of the Grand Slam of Darts by contacting the VBL representative who notified you about winning and asking for an exchange in tickets to a preferred session. The Grand Slam of Darts runs from 8th November to 16th November 2025. 

The prize does not cover travel, accommodation or other similar expenses incurred by the winner. 

7. Selection of the winner

One (1) winner will be randomly selected by VBL via a random number generator through Microsoft Excel.  

The winner of this Prize Draw will be the first entrant randomly selected from all entries across TikTok, Facebook & Instagram correctly submitted in accordance with these Prize Draw terms and conditions. 

VBL reserves the right to re-post all entries to the Prize Draw, including the winning entry, on its social media platforms without credit. 

By entering the Prize Draw you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, limited licence to use the submission(s) on VBL’s own social media platforms solely in relation to the Prize Draw. 

8. Restrictions and requirements

In relation to this Prize Draw, please note the following restrictions and requirements apply:  

  • This Prize Draw is open to: 
  • the general public who are 18 years of age or over; and  
  • residents in the United Kingdom. 

Each participant can only submit one (1) entry per social media platform. 

Employees of the Vanquis Banking Group and their immediate families are ineligible to enter this Prize Draw. 

In entering into this Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so in accordance with this condition 8 and are eligible to claim the prize should you win. VBL may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter into the Prize Draw. 

VBL will not accept prize draw entries that are: 

  • automatically generated by computer (including artificial intelligence (A.I); 
  • completed by third parties or in bulk; 
  • illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; 
  • photocopies and not originals;  
  • reposts of participants who have entered themselves; or 
  • incomplete. 

9. Notification of the results and receipt of the prize

VBL will notify the winner(s) by direct message on the social media platform to which the winning entry relates as soon as practicable after the Closing Date. 

The winner(s) must notify VBL of their acceptance of the prize within fourteen (14) days once they have been contacted by VBL in accordance with this condition 9. 

Should a winner fail to accept the prize within fourteen (14) days of being notified then that entry will become invalid and VBL reserves the right to randomly select a replacement winner from the remaining eligible entrants. 

The prize may not be claimed by a third-party on your behalf. 

The decision of VBL is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

10. Data protection and publicity

VBL will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and its privacy policy, which can be found here: Privacy Notice | Vanquis   

The surname and county of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Vanquis Bank Limited, No.1 Godwin Street, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD1 2SU” within three (3) months of the Closing Date, marked “FAO: VANQUIS MARKETING TEAM – SPOT THE VANQUIS BUS CAMPAIGN”. 

You acknowledge that you may be asked to participate in publicity if you are selected as a winner. 

If you do not want your surname and county included on the list of winners referred to above, please email: [email protected] a reasonable period of time before the Closing Date of this Prize Draw. In such circumstances, VBL must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 

11. Amazon gift card rewards

12. General

VBL reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend or amend this Prize Draw where it becomes reasonably necessary to do so. 

By submitting an entry into this Prize Draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

Insofar as is permitted by law, VBL, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner(s) or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of VBL, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions and the Prize Draw. 

Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of another part of the UK in which you live.
